On an inland highway, a 245km drive would normally take 2.5-3 hours. However the Great Ocean Road (GOR) is an entirely different proposition, for several reasons. The 12 Apostles are 275 kilometres from Melbourne, so about a 4-hour drive along the Great Ocean Road. This leg has SO much to see, that you would be crazy to miss what the Surf Coast, Apollo Bay and the Otways have to offer along the way. Shelly Beach Walk – 900m loop, walk grade medium.
