Last Update: December 2023. A mostly Air focused elementalist build for open world, the Fresh Air Tempest has massive area of effect spells, single target burst, and great defensive utilities to keep them alive. The Fresh Air trait allows you to incur the 20 second cooldown from Overloading Air Attunement but recharge it the instant you crit
BS (Banner Slave) is easier to gear as Berserker's is Core Tyria stats. DPS: Weaver (Elementalist elite spec) - Top DPS class in almost all endgame content HARD TO PLAY. Scourge (Necro elite spec) - Good DPS class + meta on some bosses due to Epi (Epidemic) bouncing. Easy to play. Variety of other random DPS classes - Most people play this
A second set of Berserker gear (for power dps) is cheap from the trading post, and having these two sets sets you up for just about any end-game content in the game. Classes that are (near) meta with celestial are Firebrand, Tempest, Renegade. All three are also powerhouses in open world content in full celestial gear.
Honestly just choose which ever one you feel. Guild Wars 2 does a great job of making sure that each class can complete content solo with ease. However, there are some classes that are harder to learn than others, such as mesmer, elementalist, or engineer as there are a lot of different skills to learn and use. But you choose what feels right
That means while charging it up they may use a lot of shouts for the effects instead of the healing, so their sustain after dragontrigger may not be as high. Interrupting the elite will ensure they won't get their sustain back soon. He mentioned that cata can out-sustain bladesworn and spectre can our duel it.
Soulbeast gets the ability to merge with its pet, this is where greatsword and sword/axe will shine with huge amounts of burst damage potential and alot of survivability through your pets abilities. Untamed is the spamm build. It refunds ability cooldowns when usinf CC on an enemy. It uses hammer as a melee weapon and then basically constantly

Engineer - first toon and i just love it. Super cool abilities and great dps class (I'm just dps pleb :P) Holosmith is a really well made elite spec. Elementalist - Complex and challenging but fun rotation. Lots of cool animation. Requires effort and time to master which in turn becomes rewarding
Core guardian is probably the most sought after ranged DPS in WvW. It's an extremely high damage and easy 1200 range build. You can find it on Metabattle. To clarify, it uses symbols hence the range, and it's for large scale zerg fights. Play this instead of staff ele. For solo/roaming, Soulbeast is by far the best.
Vindicator is the new one but Herald and Renegade are both really good in solo content. Herald plays like a tank and Renegade focuses on putting a large amount of dots on everything. renegade is probably right now the "best" one for PvE. vindicator is in my opinion the most fun. herald is very strong in PVP.
Revenant would probably be a better third class for that list, thanks to exceptionally high passive healing (mostly from battle scars, but retribution and herald traits contribute as well) and lots of traits that reduce incoming damage and grant defensive boons. 5. QtNFluffyBacon • • 2 yr. ago.
B Tier (Good, but not in the conversation for best at anything): Necromancer (Soul Taker), Ritualist, Elementalist --. D Tier (Worst at most tasks, but still fun. Anything works in general PvE!): Monk, Warrior. I think this could be a fun discussion. Tell me why I'm wrong.
